DJ Jamie-Lee Sexton – JHB
Jamie-Lee Sexton’s national breakthrough came in 2010 when she reached the Top 8 on Idols South Africa, establishing her as a rising force in the industry. With her rich, emotive voice and ability to move across genres, Jamie-Lee developed a signature sound blending pop and soul. She later collaborated with Soul Candi’s DJ Parkah in the group Audiophreniq, performing Afro house infused live sets across the country.
In 2014, she founded The Sextons, a dynamic live act that performed at major African festivals, earning a loyal following. She later shifted her focus to her solo career, embracing a more personal songwriting direction and embarking on a nationwide tour following the success of her debut solo release in 2017.

Subsequent singles charted and performed strongly on radio, leading to multiple 2023 Basadi Music Awards nominations for Best Songwriter, Best Music Video and Best Pop Artist, and a win for Best Music Video at the EVMA Awards.
Working with Ghanian Grammy winning producer C-Tea, Jamie-Lee gained traction across Africa and climbed South African radio charts. She has shared stages at Africa’s largest music festival alongside international acts including The Chainsmokers, Kendrick Lamar, Swedish House Mafia and H.E.R.
Since then, she has completed two national tours including, Eastern Cape, Cape Town and Durban, and with multiple single releases securing Top 10 radio positions. Her collaboration with house legend Mobi Dixon further showcased her distinctive raspy tone and smooth delivery into the house genre.
In 2025, Jamie-Lee expanded into DJing, partnering with Pioneer South Africa as she stepped confidently into this new creative chapter. She also released several singles that year.
