The Parlotones, a 4 piece rock band, has achieved multiplatinum-selling status in South Africa.
The Parlotones played at the opening ceremony of the Fifa World Cup 2010 at Soccer City alongside the likes of Shakira, Black Eyed Peas and Knaan and almost 90% of people who watched agreed that The Parlotones were by far the best band that played that night.
The Parlotones has had major highlights but one of the big one’s for the year 2006 was the closing slot at The Coke Fest, which saw The Parlotones play AFTER Metallica. How many indie bands can say Metallica opened for them?
